Story
My name is Albie and I am 6 years old.
I have a condition called Chronic Intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) and I am looked after by the Colorectal and Respiratory teams at RCH.
I have had lots of surgeries over the last few years and I have spent a lot of my life in hospital.
I need a feeding tube, another tube called an appendecostomy and a stoma bag to keep me healthy.
This year… I am finally well enough to start playing sport. I wanted to do run for the kids because I want to raise money for the doctors who have helped me so that they can help the other kids so they can run too.
I have been practising my running at park run every week and it’s been hard but I just keep trying. All of my family and friends will be there to support me too.
The money I raise will support the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne and all of the wonderful people who look after me (Some of them have even become my friends!) and hopefully some of the money will also support my local Albury Base Hospital.

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal (Good Friday Appeal) brings together people from all parts of the community to raise money for the benefit of The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Funds raised support research, state-of-the-art equipment, education and training, and family centred care programs.
