Story
I’m taking part in the 2026 Run for the Kids and making an extra contribution by raising funds for the Good Friday Appeal.
Why? If you know me at all, you will know why.
The Royal Children’s Hospital is a special place to me. The worst days of my life were at RCH - The day Chloe was diagnosed with brain cancer, every time we found out another treatment had failed, and eventually the day our little girl died.
But having spent so much time there over the years Chloe was living with brain cancer, we had some good times there too. I have some great memories of time spent with Chloe at RCH, and when I think of times she was happy, smiling, laughing, a lot of those memories take me to RCH.
I don’t care whether we’re talking about kids with cancer, or any other illness that lands them at RCH, I just want to help make kids happy and healthy, stop them suffering, and of course save their lives. I hope my little bit of fundraising here helps.

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal (Good Friday Appeal) brings together people from all parts of the community to raise money for the benefit of The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Funds raised support research, state-of-the-art equipment, education and training, and family centred care programs.
