Story
My son Ollie and I were so lucky to be embraced into an incredible Mother's Group when he was a baby, and we met our gorgeous friends Cat, Matt and baby boy Brucey.
When our sons were barely a year old, Cat and Matt received devastating news - Brucey was diagnosed with retinoblastoma; a rare eye cancer that has seen him spend the last 5 months in and out of hospital for chemotherapy and treatment.
We've watched Cat, Matt and Brucey dig deeper than you can imagine and show more resilience than you could ever expect from a toddler, who has some of the most contagious smiles.
The Royal Children's Hospital has provided incredible support for their family, as they do for so many families in such heartbreaking situations, and the care they deliver is lifesaving.
Ollie and I are walking the Run for Kids with our Mother's Group in support of Brucey, Cat, Matt and all the other families who never expected it to be them.

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal (Good Friday Appeal) brings together people from all parts of the community to raise money for the benefit of The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Funds raised support research, state-of-the-art equipment, education and training, and family centred care programs.
