Run to the Max

Team Run to the Max is pounding the pavement again in 2025!

Over the past two years, thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve surpassed our fundraising goals and raised over $47,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital. This year, we’re aiming even higher to help the amazing staff at RCH continue their life-changing work.

Max was born with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, a condition that led to him spending much of his first year in and out of RCH. The dedicated team has been by his side every step of the way, and in the past year, Max underwent a transformative procedure—removing his feeding tube and undergoing fundoplication surgery to prevent severe reflux and the risk of aspiration. It was a major surgery, but in true Max fashion, he took it all in his stride.

Since last year’s Run for the Kids, Max has been kicking goals! He’s thriving at daycare, crawling around at full speed, standing tall, and even taking his first steps—just in time to cross the finish line on his own this year. One of our proudest moments was celebrating Max’s graduation from the Complex Care team at RCH, a testament to how far he’s come.

We are forever grateful to RCH for the world-class care they have given Max, and we want to ensure that all children and their families continue to receive the same support for years to come.
