Guys i am running my first ever fun run for the beautiful little Polly Jackett who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February. 

In what has felt like the blink of an eye, the Jackett family’s world changed completely. Polly has already endured a massive 14-hour surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible, she is strong and courageous.

The road ahead is still uncertain, but we know that more treatments will be needed. The doctors would normally begin with radiation, but due to Polly's tender age, developing brain, and the Posterior Fossa Syndrome she has developed since surgery, they want to proceed more cautiously. To start, she will undergo a few rounds of chemotherapy, and this will be a 6-12 month process. In the coming weeks, she will be fitted with a port in her chest to administer the treatment, and we will spend a week in the hospital as the first round begins.

Her mum and I have followed each other for years on Instagram and have had many a chats and laughs over mum life and kids. 

When I heard the devastating news about her youngest daughter (Polly 3) I just wanted to do something and help. 

So here I am, running to raise money in honour of the incredible little fighter Polly The goal is to run 4.7km in 30 minutes. 😅
