Team Lucia
Story
Lucia was a long-term patient at the Royal Children's Hospital. The love, care and dedication shown by the Nurses, Doctors and everyone in-between saved her life and now she's at home with her Mum, Dad, and big sister Georgia.
It was a tough stay at RCH. We didn't have visitors due to the Covid pandemic, and as parents we were separated while caring for one of our daughters at a time, either in or out of the hospital. However, this is a common story, and there are hundreds of families going through tough times like these.
Living at RCH is a humbling and eye-opening experience. We are forever in the hospital's debt for saving our baby, and our small way of giving back is by supporting the Run for the Kids and the Good Friday Appeal. This is our 4th R4TK, it's a fantastic event to get behind.

The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal (Good Friday Appeal) brings together people from all parts of the community to raise money for the benefit of The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Funds raised support research, state-of-the-art equipment, education and training, and family centred care programs.
